Pre-Vocational Services

At GCC we will assist individuals with developmental disabilities in acquiring and maintaining work habits and work-related skills.  GCC will provide a more generalized result as opposed to vocational training for a specific job. GCC, qualified staff will assist in any of the areas where a member needs assistance. Services include learning interview skills to include holding mock interviews, learning to write a resume, dressing appropriately for interviews, cold calls for jobs, job searching. After an interview, staff will assist with any interview follow-ups, GCC will ensure the members have transportation, including assistance with bus rides to and from their job site. The member chooses what kind of work and the willingness. GCC provides the ladder to get there. The main goal is for the member to move from pre-vocational services into a job of their choosing.
